He retired as a Sous Chef, and also was a Corian Specialist, and an Arc Welder in New Orleans, LA., where he worked on Navy ships. He was an avid fisherman and loved riding motorcycles. Surviving are his daughter, Sara Fisk, his son, Benjamin J. Fisk, his sister, Lyn Fair, nephew, Mich ... Marine National Guard, where he served for 4 years. It was his great sense of humor and quick wit that carried him through various sales positions throughout Savannah, and in life.
Harry Hoecherl began his violin studies with Hilda McConnell in Spooner, Wisconsin at age 11. He graduated from Northland College in 1955 with a BA in music education with an emphasis in violin and clarinet. There he met and married his wife, Alexandra Shattuck. One of Helen’s greatest pleasures was accompanying her husband and daughter to their karate lessons and karate competitions. Eugene Paul Beery Jr., age 85, passed peacefully on July 25, 2022 at St. Joseph’s Hospital in Savannah, Georgia, with his daughters, Laura and Donna, by his side. He is preceded in death by his middle son, Frederick Feus, III and his sister, Joan Feus Johnson. Roberta, known as “Berta” to her friends, was born on May 25, 1940 in Columbia, South Carolina, the only child of Sophia Roberta Castine and William James McNeill. Her mother was a nurse, and her father a head bank teller.
John Harris Kinzie V passed away at his home in Savannah, Georgia on September 2, 2022 at age 88. Jack was born June 13, 1934 in Philadelphia, Pennsylvania. As a teenager, he moved to Savannah with his family and it became his lifelong home. Jack served in the United States Marine Corps, graduated from Georgia Tech, and retired from Union Camp in 1996 where he was the Electrical and Instrument Superintendent.
She was a long- term supporter of the Pleasant Valley Free Library, and a loyal member of Germania of Poughkeepsie. Kathy was preceded in death by John, her husband of 55 years, by her parents, Tony & Helen Shable, and by her brother, Tony. Born July 14, 1939 in Vidalia, GA and raised in Savannah, GA, he was the son of the late George Thomas Thompson and Jeanette Wall.
Pamela Sapp Sauers, age 67, passed away peacefully in her sleep on Tuesday, October 11th at Memorial Health University Medical Center in Savannah. Pam was born May 28th, 1955, at the former Telfair Hospital in downtown Savannah. She attended Savannah Christian Preparatory School. Pam never met a stranger and was always looking to help people. She grew up in Kensington Park and stayed in touch with her neighbors over the years.
Eileen June Arnold, 80, passed away peacefully on December 3, 2022, in Savannah, Georgia, her home for almost 40 years. Eileen was born on August 2, 1942, in Youngstown, Ohio, to Julia and John Kovey, the elder of their two children. She attended Cardinal Mooney High School and continued her education at Youngstown State University.

He was preceded in death by a half-sister, Barbara Whitaker. Joyce Williams, 80, passed away Friday, December 9, 2022 at her home. The lifelong resident of Savannah was born on September 22, 1942, to the late William Odis and Rosa Amerson Whitcomb.
He relied heavily on his faith to get him through some of his darkest times. He absolutely loved the water-fishing, swimming, crabbing & surfing. He had a passion for sports and loved to play baseball, football, disc-golf, basketball and bull-riding. Francis Marion Bolt Poe passed away March 14, 2022. Frankie was born in Mullins, SC on October 15, 1932 to the late John Richard and Nina Owens Bolt. Frankie was an active member of St. Frances Cabrini Catholic Church where she served in various roles in the church.
Michael S. Fawcett, 77, of Savannah, GA, formerly of Palm Beach, FL, Hamilton, MA and Pittsburgh, PA, passed away on March 4, 2022. His devoted wife and partner of 20 years, Hedy, was by his side. Dianna Dubree Phillips, devoted mother and grandmother, transitioned home on Saturday March 5, 2022. Daughter of the late Odell and Gene Dubree, Dianna was born in Marietta GA on December 4, 1946. She graduated from Mercer University in Macon in 1968 with a BA degree in education.
